• Discovery data — Artists you discover, play, and save to your list, including artist names, track names, and images.
• Session data — We use browser cookies to remember your saved list and preferences. These persist for 30 days.
• Apple Music — If you connect Apple Music, we use Apple's MusicKit framework to play full songs and search their catalogue. We do not store your Apple Music credentials or access your Apple Music library data.
• Artist suggestions — If you suggest an artist, we store the artist name, genre, and any notes you provide.
• Spotify (optional) — If you connect Spotify, we receive your user ID and display name to create and manage a bubbl playlist on your account.

How We Use Your Data

• To power your music discovery experience on bubbl
• To save your discovered artists to your personal list
• To play music through Apple Music or Deezer previews
• To generate artist recommendations and similar artist suggestions
• To improve the quality of our curated artist database

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone
• We do not serve advertising
• We do not track you across other websites
• We do not share your data with third parties for marketing

Apple Music

Apple Music integration is optional. When connected, we use Apple's MusicKit JS framework to authenticate you with Apple Music and play full songs. Your Apple Music subscription and credentials are handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your Apple ID password. Our use complies with Apple's MusicKit guidelines.

Third-Party Services

• Apple MusicKit — Full song playback for Apple Music subscribers
• Deezer — 30-second track previews and artist data
• Last.fm — Artist discovery, similar artists, and listener counts
• Spotify — Optional playlist saving and track data
• Google Gemini — AI-powered artist descriptions
• Railway — Cloud hosting and database

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Railway's cloud infrastructure with encrypted connections (HTTPS). We retain your data for as long as you use bubbl. Session data expires after 30 days of inactivity.

Children's Privacy

bubbl is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
